The Grill Girls Cafe & Burger Bar

I am so glad we have Grill girls in the forest. If you’re looking for top quality , delicious and affordable burgers, this is where you should go. I always think that people visiting the Forest of Dean need to add this to their list of places to visit. The burgers, sides, appetizers, and desserts, not to mention the milkshakes and drinks are among the best to be found, dare I say in the country. The best non food related thing- they allow dogs! I would strongly suggest a visit to Grill girls and then after feasting on the lovely grub, go for a walk around Bathurst Park.

The best food I have ever had in my entire life. Brilliant customer service, answered all our questions perfectly. Down here on holiday, so glad i’m not local because i’d be the size of a house!! Can’t remember the exact name of the two burgers we halved and shared, but we had the bacon loaded fries, and the dragon salt dusted fries - everything was FANTASTIC. Will be back again before we go home

This takeaway in Lydney is simply the best! The burgers are out of this world, and those loaded fries? Wow, they're incredible! Plus, the food is always served warm, and the service is super quick. You really can't beat it!

Absolutely lovely place with great atmosphere, lovely local gem of a place! Love how they source the ingredients locally where possible! So much to choose from on the menu and lots of options for dinning in. Coffee from the machine was lovely, great rich flavour! And the mugs were the same as ours from home so it felt very comforting and homely! The large breakfast was perfection, really enjoyed it, the bacon was done to a great standard, and loved how the beans were in a ramakin dish keeping it separate from the other items. Harshbrowns were beautiful and the bread and butter used was gorgeous! Only thing I will say is the sausages weren't to my liking, we get local ones from our butchers but these definitely weren't, so if I could improve anything it would be to upgrade to better sausages. But even that said it was still a lovely breakfast and experience, I would definitely recommend to everyone. They also had a great selection of cakes on display too! I seen some milkshakes being made and I definitely wanted to try one but I was so full, so will definitely be back for a burger and milkshake! Thanks lovely ladies! Really cozy restaurant/cafe with easy going staff. Atmosphere and vibe is great for whatever the day, the occasion, its definitely a stop worth making. A little hidden gem to bring your mates to. The food is great, good attention to detail regarding flavors and taste. Food is absolutely superb 9.5/10 (Would do with bigger glasses for drinks but it absolutely just a subjective preference).
